i heard its going to be may now? either way its all good, this is a great thing, lots of people are very greatful to even know they will be able to play again. Looking forward to some good chat wars hueheuh.

As a software engineer (not video games), I'll just reiterate what I've seen others say since there are so many questions about a release date.

GhZ probably has only an extremely rough idea of when he'll be getting this project finished. It's understandable and it's something I deal with every day when a supervisor asks me for an estimated completion time or date. The truth is, if I don't know what's involved in a specific task, even one that sounds simple, there's no telling how difficult it will be to figure out then develop it. Some things seem very complicated but end up being quick once you figure it out.

Basically, due to the nature of the work he's doing, I imagine the time in which we get a release date will be close to the actual release date.

Still working on the new launcher. It's coming along pretty well. A lot of PS3-specific stuff I've forgotten, so it's been taking a while having to relearn this stuff. So far it's a lot cleaner and nicer (both in code and graphics), so I'm pretty happy about it.

It's a lot more responsive, informative, etc. It will be doing a little less than the current launcher does, like not worrying about the DNS or anything like that.
Most of the website communication stuff is working, I just have to hook it all up to the backend on the site.
Updates will actually be downloaded first now, if there is one out. Should be less issues and work.
So, most of the basework for the launcher is done, I just have to pull it together, and also make sure that we don't run in to issues like game data corruption.

The rest of the work in my previous post still stands.
