Mumra2k requesting registration code, plz

Hi,

I'm a big fan of MGO2 and recently ordered a PS3 just for (hopefully) playing MGO2R

I just realised through reading a few threads that a registration code is required and can only be obtained by being vouched for.

Which leads me to my problem. I don't really know anyone that can vouch for me and hoping someone in the MGO2R community might be able to help.

I was a player who (still likes to) created MGO2 YouTube videos based on old footage recorded during the days when the official MGO servers were still alive. In fact I've not stopped and still have been working on editing new footage for my channel http://youtube.com/Mumra2k

Ideally id like to be a female character but as I understand it this will have to wait till 1.34? I dunno, I'm not too clued up on stuff, sorry.

Anyway, erm, hi admins, hi MGO2R people.

If any MGO2R people reading this could vouch for me if you ever remember me or playing against me, that'd be great.

As for your female question, yes that'll only be available on 1.34 which isn't that far away.

You're good, registration codes will not be needed soon though.
Right now, you can use the launcher instead to create an account, and this is how all accounts will be made after 1.34 regardless.
So, try out the launcher first, and then if you have issues, I'll give you a code.

You can't create an account with the launcher unless you have the 1.34 patch installed as well. So since you're going to be online before 1.34 you will need a registration code. I can give you a code today/tomorrow.

Plugged in the new PS3 I ordered specifically for MGO2R (and general haxors fun) and noticed this weird "PS3ITA Dex CFW" logo on the intro.

So it would appear I've acquired an already pre CFW PS3. Which is kinda worrying.

With your help I'd like to know:
1. Whether the CID is banned? (apparently that's a thing, if indeed I've even spelt the acronym properly)
2. What do I need to do to get MGO2R up and runnning?
3. Any general sage-like advice, throw it my way please!

I don't think you can check if the CID is banned unless you try signing into PSN, and I would expect that to be listed in the details of the sale somewhere if it was.

Yeah, you need to paste the code in there, the box on the right. You have one already?

And I would just assume, worst case, that the CID/PSID is banned. They may have even wrote a new one to the PS3, I don't think there is really a way for you to find out correctly.
Of course, you can try to log in to PSN. Just don't log in with your normal account ever, make a new one for CFW because they will ban the account as well if they don't like you using CFW.
