Help with metal gear solid 2 substance

Hi,

Some years ago, I got a pc version of mgs2 but was unable to play it because at that time I had a toaster. Now I finally have a PC with NVidia card and... the game still doesn´t run. It just open a back screen and nothing else happens. I´ve read that n-vidia cards have big issues with this game. But also in some forums players say they got the game working with an NVidia card. But they just don´t say how.

Is there a way to run this great game?

(got windows 10, tried compatibility mode and didn´t work)

Sorry if this is off-topic but I was told here I could finally (may be) get a solution.

Thanks for your answer. But there are two little issues, first: both download links are dead.
I found the patch in fileplanet (http://www.fileplanet.com/122839/120000 ... v2.0-Patch) and the editor hex workshop.

the second issue: after editing as told in the link u gave me. It still dont work . I tried with compatibility mode for xp and vista (pack service 1, 2 and 3) and nothing.

Does anyone play it on windows 10? (my video card is a NVidia geforce gtx 970)

1st Step :

Install Full game

2nd Step:

Install Patch 2.0 : https://www.dropbox.com/s/ltkgd52z9xm...

3rd Step :

Dowload .exe no CD : https://www.dropbox.com/s/4zc2q8iorq9...
and put it in the directory C/.../KONAMI/MetalGearSolid2 Substance/bin

4th Step :

Download this for the problem with sound card
