- This detailed guide will show you how to install the MGO JP Standalone
- You must already have Custom Firmware installed on your PS3. (experience recommended)
- You must already have MultiMan installed on your PS3. (experience recommended but not completely needed)
- You follow this tutorial at your own risk, I'm not liable if you attempt this and fail.
- Be sure to set your DNS settings if you haven't already. (192.3.217.61 / 192.3.217.162)
- Be sure you've created an account at https://savemgo.com/mgo2/register.php if you haven't already. (Write down your info! Game ID must be at least 8 characters, all one word. Password must be at least 4 characters, all one word)

PC Steps

1) Download BLJM60082-[METAL GEAR ONLINE].rar and the MGO2.SELF from here:

Link 1 (MGO JP Standalone): https://mega.nz/#!R482kSCZ!lQYZiZlkeIBvp_oZL7xi46zsAwWnWKehCsyhp3BNCRE
    Link 2 (MGO2-NA-100-R2.SELF): https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B6hFM_VpwGixdEpldlZZRGJBMU0/edit?usp=sharing

    2) Extract contents and copy file/folder to USB stick

(Do not just put the .rar or extracted folder on the USB stick. Just put the extracted "BLJM60082-[METAL GEAR ONLINE]" folder and MGO2.SELF file in the main directory.)

    3) Insert USB stick into PS3

    PS3 Steps

    1) Start Multiman

Scroll left over to multiMAN and select File Manager / mmOS
Double X Click into PS3 Root on the multiMAN Desktop
    Double X Click into /dev_usb000/
Highlight BLJM60082-[METAL GEAR ONLINE] with X and Press Circle
    Choose to "COPY"
    Double X Click " .. " to go back a directory

    Double X Click into /dev_hdd0/
    Double X Click into /GAMES/
Press Circle and select Paste (Give it time to copy the files...)
Highlight BLJM60082-[METAL GEAR ONLINE] with X and Press Circle
    Select "Permissions" to set Permissions

Once complete, Double X Click the Games shortcut on the multiMAN Desktop

Press Refresh and scroll until you find "METAL GEAR ONLINE" (the MGO JP Standalone now installed on your HDD).
Hover over it and press Triangle and go down to "Game Settings"
Press X to go into "Game Settings"
    Press Left on the D-Pad
Highlight DIRECT BOOT, Press [b]X so the bubble is filled (Don't enable this if you want the game to be "mounted" when you start it through multiman, for use with the 1.34 launcher perhaps)
Highlight BD MIRROR, Press [b]X so the bubble is filled
Highlight INTERNAL, Press [b]X so the bubble is filled
Press RIGHT on the D-Pad so you're back to the list.
    Scroll until you find PERMISSIONS
Hover over it and press X

2) Start up METAL GEAR ONLINE through Multiman

Allow Metal Gear Online Game Data to be created -
Exit Game from MGO Title Menu

3) Start Multiman

Scroll left over to multiMAN and select File Manager / mmOS
Double X Click PS3 Root on the multiMAN Desktop
    Double X Click /dev_USB000/
Highlight MGO2-NA-100-R2.SELF with X and Press Circle
    Choose to "Copy"
    Double X Click " .. " to go back a directory
    Double X Click /dev_hdd0/
    Double X Click /game/
    Double X Click:/BLJM60082/
    Double X Click /USRDIR/
    Double X Click /o/
    Press Circle and select Paste
Highlight MGO2-NA-100-R2.SELF with X and Press Circle
Choose to "Rename" and rename it to "MGO2.SELF"
    Double X Click " .. " to go back a directory
Highlight /o/ with X and Press Circle
    Select "Permissions" to set Permissions
Once complete, Double X Click Games from the multiMAN Desktop
Scroll left over to multiMAN and then scroll down and select Restart System

You now have the MGO JP Standalone installed on the HDD and is bootable through MultiMan.

Final Notes:
- You will have to boot MGO through MultiMan every time.
- This will change your games files size to about 2.74gb.

Have a nice day.
