Re: Locked Upload Speeds (Poll)
The effects of lowered upload speeds have been painfully obvious for years. I'll be reluctant to take the time to "prove" the difference myself, so good luck to Ego I suppose.

Re: Locked Upload Speeds (Poll)
I want to know especially if, 256 vs 512 makes a huge difference, I feel like going over 512 isn't going to be too beneficial.

Re: Locked Upload Speeds (Poll)
Saying you're going to prove it is kind of unnecessary. Animation lag will happen regardless of your upload speed. It is also possible to play a match on 96 and experience less animation lag than you did in another match on 512. But we all know that animation lag is worse on lower uploads, it only makes sense. If a video pops up showing that ppl lag like shit on 96 and there is little lag on 512 then you know it'll be completely biased. But even if it wasn't and it did show major differences, that would only be one or a few examples. I could just as easily make a vid showing that i lag less on 96. Don't misunderstand me though, having more people on a higher upload WILL make the game lag less. The difference just won't be as big as everyone thinks it will, but what's wrong with playing in less lag even if it's only by a little? I also don't feel like increasing the upload limits will change anything buuuutttt if you're going by my logic in this post then, if there's a difference in 96 vs 512 then there must be a difference in 512 vs 1mb. It would be interesting to test out extremely high uploads to see if its significantly harder for animations to lag but i really doubt that would be the case. Think about the difference in invisible nades in 1.34 compared to 1.36. The difference was HUGE, convincing me that it has more to do with the game itself. But again, dont misunderstand me. Locking the uploads would be nice quick fix until we can play on 1.36 (which probably won't be for a while). There's no reason that i can think of to not give this a shot, other than ghz not knowing how to do it.

Re: Locked Upload Speeds (Poll)
If you really want to see a big difference make the minimum 1 Mbps for a week. People's minds will be blown.

Re: Locked Upload Speeds (Poll)
What are the packets being sent from p2p anyway? It's easy to visualize more packets being sent, but what exactly is it that's being sent more of? I don't know if you can just double the amount of the maximum speed that konami set and expect less lag, unless it's directly related to a lesser chance of packet loss.

Re: Locked Upload Speeds (Poll)
animation lag has nothing to do with nets' or server but with how the game is programmed just saying.

Re: Locked Upload Speeds (Poll)
Im not showing animation lag.
Its the fact when people are all on low uploads nothing registers. The game is unplayable. GHZ said he wasn't sure if it would make a difference. All i'd have to do is get 10-12 people on. Have everyone play on 512 for two rounds. Then have everyone change their uploads. few on 96k few on 128 few on 192 ect ect.
I can literally keep the circle on storms face and shoot him over and over and nothing registers when hes on low upload.

Re: Locked Upload Speeds (Poll)
I voted no. I doubt everyone on the server is willing to post their speedtest results or happy to be locked to one upload speed.

Your vote shouldn't count. You glitched on revival.
